Information about account representatives, account balances and transaction information are published only on account type level as detailed information is confidential under EU legislation and the Swedish Publicity and Privacy Act.
Article 80.1 of the Registry Regulation 2019/1122 states that:
All information, including the holdings of all accounts, all transactions made, the unique unit identification code of the allowances held or affected by a transaction, held in the EUTL and the Union Registry shall be considered confidential except as otherwise required by Union law, or by provisions of national law that pursue a legitimate objective compatible with this Regulation and are proportionate.
Section 11 of the Public Access and Secrecy Act states that:
Confidentiality applies to activities relating to the management of the emission registry under the legal act (2020:1173) on emissions trading for purposes of providing or contributing disclosure of the status of an account in the registry unless it is clear that the information can be disclosed without the account holder suffering damage.
